Rosenqvist, Kobayashi join Super GT grid with Lexus
Felix Rosenqvist and Kamui Kobayashi will contest the 2018 Super GT championship with reigning manufacturers’ champion Lexus.
Rosenqvist, who currently occupies second in the Formula E standings, will replace the exiting Andrea Caldarelli at the Team LeMans squad, the same outfit the Swede raced for in Super Formula last year.
The 2015 European F3 champion will not continue with his Super Formula programme in 2018, instead opting to focus on his Formula E commitments alongside his new venture in Japan’s premier sportscar series.

Elsewhere, Kamui Kobayashi will dovetail his WEC and Super Formula duties with a full-season in Super GT. The former Sauber F1 driver will race alongside 2016 Super GT champion Heikki Kovalainen at Lexus Team Sard.
