Biography

Connor is a Journalist for Crash.net, predominantly focused on F1 and other single-seaters. Since the age of 13, Connor has had a passion for F1 and working in the sport has remained at the heart of his future ambitions. With being a racing driver out of the question, journalism was the obvious route with Connor running his own motorsport website - Read Motorsport - in 2014. Alongside his three-year university degree, and on a voluntary basis alongside other aspiring journalists, he was the Editor-in-Chief of Read Motorsport with the site sending writers to various Formula E, GP2 and MotoGP events during his time in charge.

Just two weeks after finishing his journalism degree at De Montfort University, Connor found himself freelancing for ESPN F1 in 2017. After impressing during his two-weekend trial, Connor continued to freelance for ESPN at their Hammersmith office for the remainder of the season and the entirety of the 2018 F1 season. While the following year proved to be difficult in finding work in the industry, Connor remained hungry to achieve his journalism dream and joined Crash F1 in 2020 as a freelance journalist before joining full-time in March 2021.

Besides his experience in journalism, Connor has enjoyed a wealth of success in sim racing, reaching the F1 Esports semi-final stage in 2017. He also owns the largest F1 league which races on Codemasters’ F1 titles on PlayStation and PC - Premier Sim Gaming Leagues (PSGL) - which currently has over 43,000 YouTube subscribers and is home to the best F1 sim drivers in the world such as Jarno Opmeer, Lucas Blakeley and Frederik Rasmussen. Despite being a motorsport fan and success in gaming, he still doesn't drive. Outside of motorsport, Connor is a passionate football fan, supporting his local club, Leicester City.
