South Australian based V8 Supercar Team, Team Dynamik have finally announced their full driver line-up with the news that they have secured Canberran Dale Brede to partner Simon Wills for their assault on the 2004 Championship.
In recent testing Dale proved his experience in the Konica series had prepared him well for the step up to the V8 Supercar Championship Series.
Dale was able to quickly settle into Team Dynamik's #45 car and set very quick lap times. "Dale's experience in racing V8 Supercars was a critical factor in our decision as we needed to be sure that we had a driver with the ability and experience to set up a car and finish races." Said Oscar Fiorinotto.
28 year old Brede will be taking his first shot at the full championship series after three years in the Konica Championship brought several race and round wins and a second position in the series.
In an ironic move, racing at Dynamik will bring him under the watchful eye of team technical director Oscar Fiorinotto, the man Dale credits as keeping him from winning the Konica series.
"Ever since 2002 I wondered what it would have been like to have Oscar in my corner in the series. He worked absolute wonders with Paul's car setup and now I get to find out first hand." Dale stated. "After just a short time working and talking with him this season I can see the awesome knowledge and drive he possesses - it is great to be here, I can't thank Kieran Wills and Oscar enough for the opportunity."
Dale is more than aware of the challenges that await him in stepping up to the "Main Game" everything from physical and mental stamina as well as workrate and study will have to be increased if he is to be a success. It is a move Dale is committed to and ready for.
"I am not here to make up the numbers. Team Dynamik is a quality organisation from top to bottom, all the team deserve results and I want to help deliver them."
Team Owner Kieran Wills is also expecting a year that delivers more than 2003.
"We have new premises, new cars, new technology, new corporate partners and now a new driver. My focus for success is clear and Dale mirrors that in the desire and dedication he has shown throughout the driver selection process. We are more than pleased to welcome him to the Team Dynamik family." Said Kieran.
"Last year we showed a lot of potential and some glimpses of the success we desire. This year Simon and Dale will have better everything to help achieve more of those wins. I really feel it will be a great year for Team Dynamik."
