Council asks for help in rally investigation.

Carmarthenshire County Council is looking for witnesses to last November's Network Q Rally accident involving Carlos Sainz and spectators on the Brechfa stage.

The Council has a duty to investigate certain accidents to ascertain the causes and to attempt to ensure that such accidents do not recur, and Sainz's exit from the rally has been added to the list of investigations. Although the Spaniard was able to drive away from the accident spot, he later retired, visibly shaken, after sliding into a group of spectators while attempting to take a left-hand corner in the muddy forest.
