Citroen delighted with Colin McRae deal.
Citroen Sport boss Guy Frequelin has expressed his joy after signing 1995 World Rally Champion Colin McRae.
"I am very pleased with the deal with Colin," commented Frequelin. "The 34 year-old Scot and 25 times-rally winner has the strongest experience in the WRC. His joining us will help us to push further the development of the Xsara WRC."
"We went through very long negotiations. I have been in touch with Jimmy - Colin's father - for two to three years. Colin was only interested in a complete programme and this is why we have only reached an agreement now."

Claude Satinet - Chairman of Automobiles Citroen - added: "I am also delighted that Colin McRae is joining the team. I look forward to lots of wins next season and also to score the highest number of points towards the manufacturer's title."
