Sainz 'unlikely to stay' at Ford.
The 2002 Network Q Rally of Great Britain looks set to be Ford's last event with ex-world champs Colin McRae and Carlos Sainz after team boss Malcolm Wilson said Sainz was 'unlikely' to stay with the team next season.
McRae will move to French outfit Citroen for the start of the 2003 campaign, but the future of double world champ Sainz looks less certain.
The Spaniard was linked to a drive with Hyundai, but the Korean manufacturer recently opted to keep its current two-driver line-up of Freddy Loix and Armin Schwarz, leaving Sainz running out of options.

"It's obviously sad to see Colin go but we hope to go out on a high," said Wilson. "It isn't 100 per cent with Carlos, but it looks highly unlikely that he'll stay. It's a very sad moment to lose two drivers."
McRae has been with Ford for the past four years, and Wilson said it was hard to pick out one particular memory of the 1995 world champ's time with the team.
"Over the years my best memories of Colin are his nine victories for us," continued Wilson. "But if I had to pick one it would be the Safari in 1999 where he won on his third event with us."
