Burns: Result could have been worse.

Peugeot's Richard Burns has predicted that 'anything can still happen' in the battle for the 2003 World Rally drivers' title.

The Brit had a disastrous weekend in Spain, crashing out with only three stages to go while lying in sixth place overall. He now trails Sebastien Loeb and Carlos Sainz by five points.

Speaking to British newspaper, The Guardian, Burns said: "The result could have been a lot worse.

"It's just a shame Markko [Martin] didn't quite get Sebastien [Loeb and knock him down to third].

Burns, who has 58 points, will be gunning for his second title in two weeks time, when Wales Rally GB gets underway on Thursday, 6th November.
