Peugeot: Park did not suffer.

Peugeot boss, Jean-Pierre Nicolas has confirmed that Michael Park was killed 'instantly' on the Rally GB Sunday morning, when Markko Martin went off the road in SS15 in his 307 WRC and hit a tree.

Nicolas also added that the French manufacturer, who will quit the sport at the end of this season, may now bow out earlier than planned, rather than take in the final four events - in Japan, Corsica, Catalunya and Australia.

"It is a drama for the team and for the rally world and, of course, for Michael's family," Nicolas told Eurosport.com.

"It is terrible, terrible for the guy who we loved in the team, terrible for his family.

"We will now consider the remainder of the season. The championship is nothing compared to this."
