PCWRC: Time penalty for Medeghini.
Production Car WRC competitor, Angelo Medeghini has been given a time penalty by the stewards of the Wales Rally GB, dropping him from fifth overall at the finish to sixth.
Despite losing a point as a result, the change has no real affect on the PCWRC standings and while disappointed, Medeghini was still pleased with his performance in Wales, especially as the last time he contested the event was way back in 1997.

Despite losing a point as a result, the change has no real affect on the PCWRC standings and while disappointed, Medeghini was still pleased with his performance in Wales, especially as the last time he contested the event was way back in 1997.
"We are satisfied with our results [to date this season]," said the Kome sport driver. "After a seven year of absence, we had to regain confidence in Wales. We've never entered most of the rallies before and this year has helped us to get to know them.
"We entered these last few races with a Subaru Impreza and we worked a lot with the MRT to find the best set up. I believe that we have a competitive car now. We are also happy with the Pirelli tyres. Now we look forward to our next and last appointment of the championship [in Australia] and we hope to be able to close the season in a positive way."
Fabio Frisiero moves up from sixth to fifth as a result of Medeghini's misfortune.
Karamjit Singh meanwhile has been excluded from the PCWRC, after failing to attend the Rally GB.
In total, only eight PCWRC crews were classified at the finish in Wales.
