Pons gets OK to re-start.
Kronos Citroen third driver, Xavier Pons will be able to re-start the Rallye Deutschland, the ninth round in the 2006 FIA World Rally Championship, under the SupeRally format on Sunday.
Pons has had a difficult event thus far and was slowed by suspension damage in Panzerplatte 1 [SS10], after he clipped a rock on a left-hand bend. Worse was to come though and he had to call it a day following SS12, after he had a problem with the gearshift in the middle loop.

Up until then he had been running just outside the top ten, however having missed the final three stages he picked up 15 minutes worth of penalties and will re-start from 19th place - over 20 minutes off his Kronos Citroen team-mates, Sebastien Loeb and Dani Sordo, who are running in first and second.
"Up to now, it's really been a rally to forget for me," he said philosophically. "Tomorrow we will start again in order to try and finish this rally on a positive note by setting some quick times."
