Official: Rally Portugal entry list released.

The organisers of the Rally de Portugal released the official entry list for their event, the fifth round in the 2007 FIA WRC late last week and it includes 89 crews in total - 23 in WRC cars.

All the manufacturer teams will have a presence, with the Stobart squad opting to run four cars - Andreas Mikkelsen joining the regular trio, namely Henning Solberg, Jari-Matti Latvala and Matthew Wilson.

Other significant entries in WRC cars include Guy Wilks and Gareth MacHale, both in Focus', Toni Gardemeister, Xavier Pons and Armindo Araujo, all three in privately entered Mitsubishi's, while Francois Duval and Jan Kopecky will 'represent' Skoda. Gigi Galli meanwhile will take part in his third event with his Aimont Racing-run Citroen Xsara WRC.

Of the rest 20 will take part in the Junior Rally Championship, including reigning Junior champion, Patrik Sandell and Rally Norway winner, P-G Andersson. Only one regular JRC driver has opted to skip the Rally de Portgual, namely OMV-Citroen C2 privateer, Aaron Burkart.

There will also be a good turn out in the Group N with over 25 competitors listed.
