More stages cancelled, only SS9 left today.

The organisers of the Rally Argentina have confirmed that they have had to cancel another two stages - SS7 and SS8.

Earlier it was announced that the five morning stages were to be canned, after several competitors and some FIA officials were left stranded in Buenos Aires following Thursday night's super special. Continued bad weather this morning though at the Cordova Airport meant they were unable to get back.

Continued bad weather this morning though at the Cordova Airport meant they were unable to get back.

As such only SS9, the Estadio Cordoba 1 super special, will run today. It is due to get underway, as scheduled, at 19.05 hours local time [23.05 hours British time].

A revised route for the next two days is expected to be announced soon, once the details have been finalised.

More to follow as we get it...
