Latvala secures maiden win with Audi Quattro
Volkswagen driver Jari-Matti Latvala put his Rally Finland woes behind him by securing his first victory in an Audi Quattro on the Lahti Historic Rally last weekend.
The Finn, who also drove the car on Rally Estonia three weeks ago, only to be denied victory by a technical problem on the penultimate stage, dominated the two-day event, winning all 13 stages.
It is the third time in his career he has won it - you can see him in action in SS7 by clicking on the Video link below.
"By letting me drive the Audi quattro, Volkswagen have allowed me to fulfil a lifelong dream," he reiterated. "It was simply fantastic. I'm now going into Rally Germany with a victory under my belt."
Rallye Deutschland, the ninth round in the 2013 World Rally Championship, starts next week, running from August 21-25.
