Loeb to make Macau appearance
Sebastien Loeb is to make his debut at the infamous Macau circuit next month after confirmation that he will join the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia grid for the end of season Macau Grand Prix.
Loeb, who will compete at the venue next year in the World Touring Car Championship, will form part of a bumper grid for the race, which will include a number of drivers from the Porsche Carrera Cup Japan.
Loeb may be making his first appearance on the 6.2km Guia street track, he does have experience of the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup both as a driver and a team owner in the Porsche Carrera Cup France.
The nine-time WRC title winner also took part in the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup events in Spain and Monaco earlier this year.
"We are delighted to confirm S?bastien Loeb will make his Porsche Carrera Cup Asia debut with us at the Macau Grand Prix this year, and his participation is testament to the high regard in which the series is held not only in the region, but across the world," Oliver Schwab, Motorsport Manager of Porsche China, said.
"We are certain that all our exceptional drivers are excited by the prospect of racing wheel-to-wheel with this legendary star on one of the most challenging race tracks in the world."
