Kris Meeke has given Citroen the ideal start to its home World Rally Championship event Tour de Corse by topping the shakedown by over two seconds from Andreas Mikkelsen in the Hyundai.
The Citroen Abu Dhabi WRC driver secured his first rostrum result of the year last time out in Mexico which has provided the Northern Irish driver with timely momentum heading into Tour de Corse where he’s topped the shakedown.

The Citroen Abu Dhabi WRC driver secured his first rostrum result of the year last time out in Mexico which has provided the Northern Irish driver with timely momentum heading into Tour de Corse where he’s topped the shakedown.
Hyundai’s Mikkelsen, sitting third in the WRC drivers’ championship, led the team’s charge ahead of teammate Thierry Neuville and Dani Sordo.
WRC championship leader Sebastien Ogier, who has been in the spotlight since the FIA Power Stage rule tweak, claimed fifth on the shakedown timesheet in Corsica, just ahead of M-Sport Ford teammate Elfyn Evans, with nine-time WRC champion Sebastien Loeb taking seventh for Citroen after catching the eye on his return to the series last time out in Mexico.
Ott Tanak leads the Toyota charge in eighth place ahead of lead WRC2 driver Stephane Lefebvre (Citroen) as Tanak’s teammates Jari-Matti Latvala and Esapekka Lappi claimed 10th and 11th place respectively.
