Just a couple of minutes to go until WorldSBK FP2 begins, and there will be some legitimate pressure on Nicolo Bulega in this session. The rider who currently sits second in the championship standings was only 10th-fastest this morning and almost one second slower than championship leader Razgatlioglu.

13:51

It was Toprak Razgatlioglu fastest this morning in FP1, and by almost half-a-second from Garrett Gerloff on his return from injury.

FP2

Welcome back to MotorLand Aragon for live coverage FP2 from the Aragon World Superbike round. FP2 is set to get underway in around 15 minutes at 15:00 local time.

10:07
Razgatlioglu tops FP1

And that's that, the chequered flag is out and brings an end to WorldSBK FP1 at Aragon. Razgatlioglu is fastest from Gerloff and Vierge.

10:06

Well if it was close, it's not anymore: Razgatlioglu to the top on his final attempt, 0.465s clear of the field despite catching Gerloff in the middle of the final corner.

10:02

Bautista and Razgatlioglu now heading back out for their respective final runs.

10:02

The Hondas improve again, Vierge up to second and Lecuona now third.

10:00

Gerloff now goes to the top, and he's 0.187s clear of the field with five minutes of FP1 to go.

09:57

It's probably Bautista who seems to have the best pace at the moment, lapping consistently in the high-1:49s to low-1:50s, and there's another - a 1:50.928 on his 15th lap of the session.

09:54

Most riders in pit lane now, as Garrett Gerloff moves up to eighth.

09:52

Razgatlioglu is currently following Alex Lowes, and he's on course to go fastest... he just loses out in the final sector, though, and goes third-fastest, 0.018s off the top.

09:51

We've now got a Spanish 1-2 at the top, with Bautista now leading by 0.016s ahead of Lecuona.

09:50

Bautista goes from fifth to third with his most recent attempt, as Jonathan Rea moves up from 17th to 15th. The top Yamaha rider at the moment is Andrea Locatelli, but he's 14th and 1.059s off the pace.

09:49

Lecuona improves again - 0.155s now clear of Iannone. His teammate, Vierge, is still up there, too, in sixth place, 0.363s slower than Lecuona.

09:46

Another improvement from Lecuona, who moves 0.139s ahead of Iannone.

09:45

Now Lecuona puts Honda back on top with a 1:49.800, 0.044s ahead of Iannone. With every lap this Honda pace appears increasingly legitimate, but we're still only 25 minutes into the weekend.

09:44

Petrucci improves again, up to sixth place, while Bulega goes up to third place with his latest lap.

09:42

Iannone hits the top now and is the second rider, after Bassani, into the 1:49s. If any one rider is struggling at the moment it's probably Nicolo Bulega, who has just improved to 10th place.

09:40

Danilo Petrucci is slightly behind in this session, having pit on his first lap. He's just moved himself up to seventh place, though, and within 0.3s of the fastest time. In fact, the times are quite close at the minute, with 14 riders within a second of the fastest time.

09:36

Axel Bassani to the top now, ahead of Alvaro Bautista, with Vierge now down to third.

09:34

Alvaro Bautista moves up to second with his latest lap, and Andrea Iannone to third. But it's still Vierge on top.

09:33

Toprak Razgatlioglu's weekend has started in ninth place. He'a back in the BMW box now but looks relaxed.

09:32

Sam Lowes has gone back to the top now, but Xavi Vierge is on a strong lap and the Spaniard puts Honda back on top.

09:29

Times at the top are changing quite frequently at the moment, as the riders get acquainted with Aragon's new, patchy surface.
