It's Razgatlioglu who's the favourite, though. He can win the title in this race. It's pretty simple maths: Razgatlioglu needs to win, and Bulega must finish 12th or lower.
Despite Toprak Razgatlioglu's nine-second victory in Race 1 yesterday, his close-fought battle for victory with Nicolo Bulega earlier today in the Superpole Race gives hope that Race 2 here will be similarly tough to call.
The riders are lined up on the grid ahead of the warm-up lap, and the conditions looks about the most stable they have all weekend. There are clouds around, but it's sunny in Estoril.
We're just under 20 minutes away from the beginning of WorldSBK Race 2 at the Estoril World Superbike round. Nicolo Bulega will start on pole position after winning the Superpole Race earlier today.
Razgatlioglu had put together an excellent last lap, but Bulega beats him on the run to the line! Razgatlioglu second, Bautista third.
Lap 8 was the fastest lap of the race from Bulega, and he's still coming, only 0.1s between them over the line as we start the final lap!
Bautista now all over Locatelli and Bulega is still not letting Razgatlioglu escape by more than 0.5s.
And Bautista passes Locatelli in the straight for third place.
Bautista has passed Petrucci for fourth place, and now is chasing Locatelli for the podium with three to go. 0.5s between the top two still.
Strong lap from Razgatlioglu, he's up to 0.6 over Bulega now.
Jonathan Rea has crashed out, but has remounted.
Still around half-a-second between the leaders, but the front two now pulling away from Locatelli.
Bautista's got himself up to fifth now, as Rea starts dropping back - he's now seventh after being passed by Lowes.
Razgatlioglu continuing to lead from Bulega, but even if Bulega isn't closing in too much, the BMW rider isn't getting away - 0.4s between them at the line.
It wasn't the best start from Bulega but he's recovered quickly and is up to second now after passing Locatelli at turn six, albeit 0.5s behind Razgatlioglu.
Petrucci getting bashed around here, passed by Locatelli in turn one, then Bulega in turn two - now he's under pressure from Vierge who's passed Rea for fifth.
Razgatlioglu back to the front in the same place Petrucci passed him a lap ago, and after four corners he's already pulling away.
It's Petrucci who leads lap one after a pass on Razgatlioglu at turn nine. The BMW rider is back to fourth, behind both Yamaha riders, too! Although he passes them both on the run to turn one to reclaim second.
Not a good start for Bautista this time, he's buried in 13th!
It's lights out in Estoril, and it's Toprak Razgatlioglu who has got the holesoht ahead of Danilo Petrucci and Andrea Locatelli.
The riders are off on their warm-up lap.
We're just under 10 minutes away from the beginning of the Superpole Race in Estoril, and it's going to be an important one for Alvaro Bautista.
The Spaniard suffered in Race 1 with a setup he said was too soft, but, starting 11th after a crash in Superpole, a good result here will be key to improving his chances of battling for a podium, or even challenging Razgatlioglu, later on in Race 2.
Toprak Razgatlioglu starts on pole here in the Superpole Race after setting pole position yesterday morning. The Turkish rider can win the championship today, but he needs to extend his lead over Nicolo Bulega by at least 12 points. The title cannot be clinched in the Superpole Race, whatever the result.
Welcome to Estoril for live coverage of the first of two WorldSBK races today: the Superpole Race. We're about 20 minutes away from lights out at 11:00 local time. Race 2 will be coming up later today at 14:00.
