'Fearless' crashes out in downpour.

Britain's Iain MacPherson's World Supersport campaign continued to go against expectation, with a retirement in Australian not adding to his points tally.

While Kawasaki works team-mate Andrew Pitt raced to a podium finish on a track he knows well, MacPherson's day wasn't as good, as he crashed out on the tenth lap coming onto the front straight. Despite this, however, he refused to rule himself out of the title mix.

"The championship isn't over yet," he said defiantly, "I'II just have to start winning some races and catch up the points. I'm really happy for Andrew and it's good for the team - I just wish it had been me!"
