Assen takes vote as top event.
The Assen round of the World Superbike championship has won the annual "World Superbike Organiser's Award" after the Dutch venue came out on top in a pole of the 13 circuits on the 2002 calendar.
Assen was also the scene of the most dramatic round of the year after a double victory for Castrol Honda's Colin Edwards and a second race crash for title rival Troy Bayliss left the SP-2 Honda rider leading the championship.
