Nannelli joins NCR for remaining rounds.
Gianluca Nannelli will compete in the final two rounds of World Superbikes aboard a third 999RS Xerox Ducati, along side Gary McCoy and Miguel Praia, instead of the Pedercini Ducati 998RS he has ridden this season.
Nannelli recently tested with his new team amongst atrocious weather conditions at Misano ahead of the Italian round of the championship in a weeks time.
"Of course with those weather conditions I'm not able to give a fair judgement on the 999RS," said Nannelli. "The rain didn't stop for a moment and I had to ride with rain tyres.

"But I was able to appreciate how the team works and got a good feeling from the bike although, for sure, on a dry track and race conditions things will be different."
Team manager Stefano Caracchi was also satisfied with Nannelli's first test with the team.
"Gianluca showed that, even in flood conditions, his will to ride a bike is inexhaustible," said Caracchi. "We are sure that our decision about Gianluca is good and we are confident that 'Nanna', together with Garry McCoy and Miguel Praia, will be able to give our sponsors all the satisfaction missing in the final events after the splendid early season results in Australia and Monza."
