Yamaha Germany's Kevin Curtain led for the entire second free practice session, but unfortunately for him Charpentier pipped him in the closing moments. The fast French man set a time of 1min 52.294secs just 0.071secs ahead of Curtain's time. The times are a little down on the pace set on Friday due to a change in the weather.

Third fastest was Megabike Honda's Katsuaki Fujiwara who will be giving Charpentier a run for his money at this high speed circuit, with Kenan Sofuoglu taking up fourth position.

The British riders were putting on a good performance with Stuart Easton on the SC Carrachi in seventeenth place, and he posted the highest speed through the speed trap, a rather impressive 283KPH. Tom Tunstall on the Hardinge Bridgeport Honda was in twenty sixth, improving his lap time by almost a second from Friday's qualifying session.
