The hard riding Australian was impressed with the event, "It is really massive and a great event because I love motorsport and I love to come and see riders and drivers from the past and the present," enthused Bayliss, "It is incredible some of the gear that you see. I was talking to the older guys in the changing rooms and it is completely different here, normally everyone is tucked away in their truck getting ready, but here everybody is together in the changing rooms. You see some of the guys putting their kit on and it is from forty years ago, and it is exactly what they drove in forty years ago and then they hop into the car from forty years ago and it is incredible!"

Although it wasn't a race weekend and Bayliss wasn't under the usual amount of pressure he was still keeping busy with the fans, "It is busy, as it is the opportunity for everybody to grab a piece of anybody that they want. So it is a busy time for us, but an enjoyable time. Not many people get to come inside the paddock on a race weekend, but here you pay the fee and come in and you are open to go and look and get as close as you want to anything that you like to see," he concluded.

The World Superbikes are now gearing up for an official test at the Lausitzring in Germany, with a return to race action at Brno in the Czech Republic on Sunday 23rd July.
