Chili says goodbye to Brands.
World Superbike legend Frankie Chili may have failed to finish both races on his final Brands Hatch appearance, but that didn't stop him completing a special lap of honour for the British fans.
Having qualified 16th on the grid, the DFXtreme Honda rider was forced out of race one with battery failure then served a jump start penalty in race two, after which he again pulled into the pits.

"In race one the battery frame failed and it was hitting the rear suspension, so it was necessary to retire," said Chili. "In race two, after I had taken the pit lane penalty, I did a couple of laps and then realised it was not worth continuing."
Nevertheless, with Chili due to switch from DFX rider to DFX team management next season, the Italian - a WSBK rider since 1995 and 17 times race winner - wanted to go back out in track in the course car, to wave goodbye to all his British fans (pictured).
"I wanted to do the lap in the car because the British fans have been so good to me throughout my career," said the emotional 42-year-old, who broke his pelvis earlier in the season.
