Yukio out of race but no broken bones.

Team Alstare Suzuki Corona Extra rider Yukio Kagayama will miss tomorrow's races at Phillip Island due to doctor's orders.

Kagayama crashed in timed qualifying and was taken to The Alfred Hospital in Melbourne with suspected fractures of his left collarbone and three or four ribs and possible damage to his spleen. However, after further checks, it was found that Kagayama had not broken any bones, though there was some damage to one of his lungs.

As a precaution the medics there declared Kagayama unfit to take part in the races - a decision that was endorsed by the race jury, the FIM and race direction.
