O’Halloran steps in for Camier at Imola
Jason O’Halloran will make his World Superbike debut as stand-in for the injured Leon Camier at Red Bull Honda for the remainder of the Imola round.
Camier completed the opening two free practice sessions and despite being cleared to continue by the World Superbike medical team the British rider has had to pull out due to his injuries. The Red Bull Honda rider sustained three broken ribs after being accidently hit during a crash at Aragon and despite making a speedy recovery he will sit out the Imola races in order to continue his return to full fitness.

As a result, reserve rider for this weekend Jason O’Halloran – fresh from recording a podium result at Oulton Park last weekend in the Bennetts British Superbike championship – will make his World Superbike debut for the factory Honda squad.
O’Halloran has competed in World Supersport previously, in the 2007 and 2009 Brno rounds, before spending the majority of his career competing in the British series for Honda.
“Tried my best but no can do,” Camier tweeted after confirming his withdrawal. “I'll be back on track at Donington. Thanks for all the support! See you all again soon on home turf!”
