Scott Redding fastest on final day of testing in Aragon

Aruba.it Ducati rider Scott Redding topped the second and final day of World Superbike testing at MotorLand Aragon ahead of team-mate Michael Ruben-Rinaldi.
The 2019 British Superbike champion and former MotoGP rider finished day-one third behind Rinaldi and 2020 team-mate Chaz Davies, but improved by over a second to conclude the test fastest overall.
Redding was the only rider to break the 1m 49s barrier with a lap time of 1’48.780s, which is only +0.013s slower than Jonathan Rea’s Teruel lap record.
Third was GRT Yamaha rider Garrett Gerloff who led the way for the Japanese manufacturer.
In fourth place was GoEleven Ducati rider Davies who was fastest on the opening day in his second outing with the team.
In other news, Nicolo Canepa was not in action today, with only Andrea Locatelli on track for the Pata Yamaha team.
Canepa stood in for Toprak Razgatlioglu on Monday as the Turkish rider continues his recovery from Covid-19, but the YART Yamaha World Endurance rider didn’t appear on track.
That meant only nine WorldSBK riders were in action, along with World Supersport duo Jules Cluzel and Federico Caricasulo of the GMT94 Yamaha team.
