The Pata Yamaha rider went three tenths quicker than his best effort from FP1 which was also good enough to top the overall classification on day-one, while Aruba.it Ducati rider Scott Redding was second fastest - one thousandth of a second away from Razgatlioglu.

The other rider to top a session so far this weekend was Chaz Davies who ended FP2 quickest for GoEleven Ducati.

Friday’s running saw few crashes, however, Michael Van Der Mark was one of those who did suffer a fall and missed valuable track time in FP2. Van Der Mark crashed at the off-camber turn eight, with his new M 1000 RR machine landing on top of the air fence.

Work on his Motorrad BMW bike continued into FP3 as the Dutch rider remained in the garage until the final five minutes.

It was another strong performance on the opening day for GRT Yamaha rider Garrett Gerloff as he finished third quickest overall.

Tito Rabat was quickest of the rookies in FP1 with 12th, one spot ahead of BMW rider Jonas Folger, however, it was Ducati rider Axel Bassani who took that honour in FP2 with ninth. In FP3 it was Andrea Locatelli who went fastest of the rookies in ninth place.

Loris Cresson was slowest of the 23 riders and outside of the 107% rule during FP1, but the Belgian had no such issues in FP2.
