Both Randy Krummenacher and Sandro Cortese have kept hold of their half-second advantage on the rest of the World Supersport field on Friday practice at Assen.
Krummenacher retained top spot from FP1 with a 1m 36.116s on the Bardhal Evan Bros Yamaha to keep a narrow advantage of 0.034s over Cortese on the Kallio Racing Yamaha as the pair looked the standard to beat at the Dutch circuit.
Nearest contender Jules Cluzel on the NRT Yamaha held on to third place from the morning session but was over half a second behind the top two, while Luke Stapleford continued to impress for Profile Racing Triumph in fourth place but lost a couple of tenths to Cluzel in FP2.
Raffaele De Rosa is aiming to put a frustrating Aragon race behind both him and MV Agusta at Assen and has started strongly with fifth place on the combined times ahead of GRT Yamaha pair Federico Caricasulo and Lucas Mahias.
Hikari Okubo continues to lead the Puccetti Kawasaki charge in eighth place ahead of local star Rob Hartog as Niki Tuuli rounded out the automatic Superpole 2 qualifiers in the top ten for CIA Landlords Insurance Honda.
Sheridan Morais was the unlucky 11th-placed rider to miss out, continuing to stand in for the injured Kenan Sofuoglu for Puccetti Kawasaki, ahead of MV Agusta’s Ayrton Badovini and Team Lorini Honda’s Kyle Smith.
