Jules Cluzel has darted to the top of the combined practice times by going quickest in FP2 at Brno as rival Sandro Cortese crashed out midway through the afternoon session.

Jules Cluzel has darted to the top of the combined practice times by going quickest in FP2 at Brno as rival Sandro Cortese crashed out midway through the afternoon session.
The NRT Yamaha rider produced a 2m 03.502s lap in the final 10 minutes of the second session to edge Cortese off top spot by just 0.051s. Cortese saw his FP2 curtailed early by a fall at Turn 5, which briefly forced a red flag stoppage to repair the barriers at the corner, with the German rider reported as okay after the crash.
Randy Krummenacher also improved late on to jump up to third place overall on the Bardahl Evan Bros Yamaha to push Ayrton Badovini down one place on the MV Agusta after the Italian rider failed to improve his best lap from FP1.
Federico Caricasulo leapfrogged GRT Yamaha teammate Lucas Mahias in FP2 to take fifth place, with the defending World Supersport champion another to fail to improve on his morning times.
Thomas Gradinger held on to seventh place for NRT Yamaha to set-up a promising race weekend in the Czech Republic as Anthony West led the Kawasaki charge in eighth place. Raffaele De Rosa (MV Agusta) and Sheridan Morais (Puccetti Kawasaki) rounded out the provisional Superpole 2 qualifiers by completing the top 10.
Kyle Smith once again had to settle for 11th place ahead of his first race for CIA Landlords Insurance Honda having switched from Gemar Team Lorini Honda after Donington Park.
Luke Stapleford suffered a heavy late fall at Turn 13 on his Profile Racing Yamaha and ended the session down in 20th place.
