No change of fortune for battle-scarred Kirkham
Samsung Honda's Jon Kirkham had a weekend to forget at Oulton Park, where he was involved in another heavy fall.
Kirkham crashed at 150mph at Water Tower on his previous visit to the Cheshire circuit while holding fourth place.
He has struggled to regain his best form since the accident in May and suffered another big crash at Shell in the second race of the weekend triple-header on Sunday.
Kirkham, who failed to finish Saturday's race after his Honda Fireblade was struck by a technical issue, limped across the line in 14th place in the final race on Sunday, but it was scant consolation.
"I started seventh in free practice and then qualifying went okay and I got through to Q3, but a technical problem at the end of Q2 meant I couldn't push for a higher grid position," said Kirkham.
"It was another weekend of bad luck for me as we had another technical problem in the first race, then a crash and 14th was the best we could do in the last one.
"It was a difficult weekend but we can regroup and come out fighting again at Brands Hatch."
