MG XPower girl on grid.
MG XPower girl racer Fiona Leggate hopes to be on a touring car grid one day and she achieved part of that dream when the series visited Ireland and the Mondello race circuit.
At the technical and twisty confines of the only race circuit Fiona could boast of being ahead of sometime EERC Britcar series driving partner, Anthony Reid. Unfortunately, Fiona was only acting as Reidy's grid girl this time, but she hopes to join the BTCC series racing herself before too long.

Fiona was present at the last round of the BTCC as a guest of Anthony Reid and West Surrey Racing team manager, Dick Bennetts. As it turned out it was a fantastic weekend for WSR and MG as Reid's team-mate Colin Turkington scored the team's first BTCC win of 2004 and the first for the impressive new 2 litre K Series powerplant.
WSR asked Fiona if she would be the lolly pop girl for Anthony and she jumped at the chance.
"Being in first place on the grid as a lolly girl is great but I'd much prefer sitting in that position in my MG ZR!" she said. "It was a great weekend and I would like to thank WSR for the time they spent with me."
