"I had such a great day with Colin," Cate said. "It was brilliant to be involved with the team and I wish Colin and Team RAC the very best of luck for Silverstone!"
Turkington, who stands an outside chance of claiming the title this weekend in the season finale at Silverstone, added that it was nice to spend time with the fans - especially those with such an enthusiasm for the BTCC.
"It's always good to get people with an interest in the sport involved with the team and to share our celebrations at this exciting time," he said. "Cate showed a real enthusiasm for Team RAC and was a joy to have around."
