Williams Fw20 Launched.
The Williams FW20, the car that will challenge for the 1998 FIA Formula One World Championship, was unveiled today (28/1/98) at Silverstone Circuit, UK by their two drivers 1997 F1 World Champion Jacques Villeneuve and 1997 runner-up Heinz-Harald Frentzen.
Outwardly the FW20 is similar to the championship winning FW19 but the new car has been designed and constructed to the new for 1998 Formula One regulations which call for a narrower track, grooved tyres and a narrower car in general, therefore the FW20 is completely different to the 1997 example.

Williams's Chief Designer, Gavin Fisher explained, (The changes in the regulations are the most broad ranging for many years and have presented us with new challenges. Technically it should be very interesting as it is clear that there will be a much greater diversity of designs than in previous years).
