Scammell Returns As Cosworth Md
Dick Scammell MBE has returned to the head of Cosworth's racing division - but only temporarily.
The 60-year old has come out of retirement to oversee the first few months of the new Cosworth Racing company's integration with Ford. The American company recently purchased the Cosworth arm of Vickers from Audi in order to preserve its motorsport links, with the final agreement being signed only a few days ago.

(This is an interim appointment,) said Scammell of his nomination as Managing Director of Cosworth Racing, (which will allow me to oversee the smooth integration of Cosworth Racing into the Ford organisation. I believe that Ford and Cosworth's unique and highly successful partnership can now only get stronger, and I am delighted to a part of it.)
