The British American Racing team has won the race to be first out with its new car, running its first bespoke chassis at the latest Barcelona test.

The British American Racing team has won the race to be first out with its new car, running its first bespoke chassis at the latest Barcelona test.

Jacques Villeneuve took the wheel as the car turned a wheel for the first time in public, simultaneously making his debut for the Brackley-based team. The chassis - which replaces the Tyrrell-Mecachrome test hack previously run by the team - appeared in a neutral livery, pending its official unveiling at the Autosport show in January.


The team completed one symbolic installation lap during the morning session, before running for longer in the afternoon. No time was recorded, however.
