Stories linking Eddie Irvine with a return to the Jordan team surfaced again over the Spanish GP weekend, strengthening the rumour that Damon Hill may be ousted from the team for next season.

Although Hill denies that he is considering retirement at the end of the year, rumours that Irvine is poised to return to the team which gave him his F1 break have picked up speed in recent weeks.
