Salo Tastes Ferrari 'dream'.
Mika Salo drove the Ferrari F399 for the first time at Fiorano on Tuesday and Wednesday, completing over 100 laps in his preparation to replace the injured Michael Schumacher.
The Finn, who described the chance to drive for the Prancing Horse as one of his 'dreams', concentrated on adjusting the set-up of the car to his tastes, but admitted that he would probably speak to the injured German before racing for the first time in Austria next weekend.

Salo, fresh from replacing the injured Ricardo Zonta at BAR earlier this season, got his first taste of Ferrari F1 power early on Tuesday evening, and completed 26 laps to familiarise himself with his latest mount. Returning on Wednesday, he then began to work through the set-up programme, amassing 100 laps of the private Italian circuit as he went. His fastest lap of 1min 03.423secs was some way of Schumacher's best, and Salo will continue to test until Friday.
"There are lots of new things in the car that I have to learn," he said, "and it takes time, but I'm sure I will get them. Of course, for me it is a difficult situation sitting in Michael's car. It's very unfortunate what happened to him, and I hope he gets better quickly."
