Villeneuve Relationship On The Skids?

The on-off saga of Jacques Villeneuve's wedding to Australian actress Dannii Minogue took another twist last week, when it was claimed that the Canadian was seen out on the town with an unnamed female companion.


The celebrity couple's wedding was rumoured to have taken place in Sydney on New Year's Eve, but this was later denied by all parties, before being re-arranged for the eve of the Melbourne GP this year. This, too, has been denied by the wife of Villeneuve's boss Craig Pollock, and the weekend's revelations - when Villeneuve was alleged to have asked a photographer for film of him and his mystery companion - could put any further plans in jeopardy. The British Sun newspaper also reports that relations are cooling between the couple.


According to sources close to the driver, however, there is no hint of a rift between Villeneuve and Miss Minogue, and she continues to reside in his Monaco apartment.


Another F1 marriage looks to be on the horizon, however, as David Coulthard is reported as having proposed to model girlfriend Heidi Wichlinski over the festive period. Again, it was the Sun which broke the news, claiming that the couple's parents were present as Coulthard popped the question, and were delighted with developments.


No date has yet been set for the wedding.
