Rubens Barrichello was again thwarted by the weather as he attempted to get a race distance under his belt with the latest Ferrari.

The Brazilian, having taken over from team-mate Michael Schumacher on Friday, had hoped to be able to get his first serious mileage with the F2001 yesterday [Saturday], but found himself restricted to shorter, development, runs when the weather continued wet.

Concentrating on general set-up work, Barrichello completed just 25 laps as the conditions made serious running impossible. He lapped some seven seconds off the pace set by Schumacher during the course of his visit to Mugello earlier in the week.
