After the event David Coulthard said: "I didn't spray the champagne as a mark of respect, because we lost a very important member of the team at home this weekend in Paul Morgan."
McLaren-Mercedes team boss Ron Dennis echoed Coulthard's sentiments. Dennis said: "People think we're a grey faceless team, but we care about our members and more than being a leading member, Paul Morgan was a close friend. He's going to be badly missed."
The team's press release reviewing the GP ended with the following note: "Whilst we are enjoying today's success our thoughts and sympathies go to the wife and family of Paul Morgan. A true colleague and genuine friend."
