Ferrari to delay debut of F2002?

Ferrari may opt to run this year's F2001b chassis at the start of the 2002 season according to reports in Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Italian newspaper notes that 'the plan' is to run with the F2001b for the first three fly-away races as a 'stop-gap' until switching to the F2002 at the San Marino Grand Prix on April 14th.

It is understood that the ratonale behind this is so they have a bullet-proof car for Australia, Malaysia and Brazil before using the F2002.
