Renault concludes successful Silverstone test.
The Mild Seven Renault F1 team today [Thursday] completed testing at the Silverstone circuit in England with test driver Fernando Alonso cocluding his first real solo test for the French squad.
Driving last year's B201 chassis, Alonso achieved a productive day's development on behalf of Michelin, while also conducting electronics work for the team.

"A very successful day to conclude our work at Silverstone," technical director Mike Gascoyne commented, "Fernando completed the planned tyre programme, and Michelin and ourselves were very pleased with the results, which confirmed the benefits we had already seen in preparation for the Brazilian Grand Prix at the end of the month.
"The team also managed to complete a small amount of electronics development."
The Renault team will now focus its efforts on the forthcoming Malaysian Grand Prix, for which much of its equipment is already en route from Melbourne after last week's Australian round. Practice for the Sepang event begins on Friday 15 March.
