Montezemolo remembers Gilles Villeneuve.

Ferrari President Luca di Montezemolo paid tribute to Gilles Villeneuve yesterday on the twentieth anniversary of the Canadian's death.

Gilles Villeneuve, father of BAR-Honda driver Jacques, was killed in 1982, while practicing for the Belgium Grand Prix at Zolder. He was thrown from his Ferrari following a collison with Jochen Mass' March.

Montezemolo said: "Gilles Villeneuve was one of the major players in the sporting history of our Company."

"I recall he was gifted with courage which seemed to have no limit."
