Minardi to test with European V10 not Cosworth.
KL Minardi have confirmed that they will be using a European V10 engine during testing at Valencia from November 26th to 28th and not a 2002 Cosworth as originally reported.
The European V10 was used by Minardi during 2001, and is not in anyway similar to the engine used this year by Jaguar or Arrows.
Indeed the European V10, is a version of the Fondmetal unit used by the team during 2000, which was uprated and modified by Paul Stoddart's European Engine Division in Ledbury.

The FIA issued a clarification on the subject yesterday, after they had earlier reported that the little Italian outfit had already received delivery of the latest Cosworth power plant.
Although Minardi plan to use the Ford engines next year after splitting with 2002 suppliers Asiatech, no official announcement has yet been made, assumingly because negotiations are still on going.
