The first signs of the break-up of Ferrari's 'dream team' have become apparent, with Jean Todt being promoted to the role of chief executive officer of the marque, in place of Luca di Montezemolo.

While the group consisting of Todt, Ross Brawn, Rory Byrne and Paolo Martinelli was not expected to survive much beyond Michael Schumacher's retirement, which officially started as the flag dropped in Brazil on Sunday, little is known of how the team will be reshaped, with Brawn rumoured to be eyeing a sabbatical in 2007 and Byrne long hankering after his own retirement, having handed design control to Aldo Costa.

Brawn had been tipped to return to the Scuderia in a different, perhaps more senior, role after his year out, but that was not expected to occur until 2008. Amedeo Felisa takes over from the Frenchman's general manager role, and joins the Ferrari SpA board in place of Renato Pagliaro, who has resigned.
