Porsche 2019/20 Formula E challenger revealed
The Porsche FIA Formula E team has revealed the 99X Electric car that will contest its maiden campaign in the series with during the 2019/2020 season.
Drivers Neel Jani and Andre Lotterer helped unveil the team’s livery as part of an interactive launch event at Porsche’s Digital GmbH headquarters in Ludwigsburg, Germany on Wednesday evening.

Drivers Neel Jani and Andre Lotterer helped unveil the team’s livery as part of an interactive launch event at Porsche’s Digital GmbH headquarters in Ludwigsburg, Germany on Wednesday evening.
The car design includes Porsche’s traditional racing colours of white, red and black and also features a traditional Porsche naming system, consisting of three digits which represent its racing cars and two-door sports cars, while the X stands for the “forward-looking approach and prototype racing”.
Porsche has brought in 12 new partners for its foray into Formula E, including title sponsor Tag Heuer and communications sponsor Vodafone, both of which feature prominently on the 99X Electric.
The team has already carried out a number of private tests ahead of the upcoming season, with Brendon Hartley and Jani conducting more than 1000km of running between them during a three-day test at Calafat in April.
