Herve Poncharal said to BT Sport: "Every manufacturer is potentially a winner. They are all competitive.
"The KTM organisation are preparing the next two years. They want to take the next step.
"You need youth and experience, and people who believe in the project.
"Clearly Pol is someone who left an incredible memory because, from day one, he was in this project.
"He is someone who, in each lap, is pushing.
"The leader of the championship is Fabio Quartararo but, if you look at what Pol is doing, there is not one lap where he is two or three seconds off the pace.
"This is something that is helping the whole project.
"Clearly Pol is somebody who could be a big asset to us.
"He left. He is a bit nostalgic for what he left. So everything is possible."

Aleix Espargaro and Maverick Vinales were in incredible form during FP3.
Espargaro, Quartararo, Vinales, Rins and Nakagami are the top five heading into qualifying later today.

Espargaro finishes fastest despite his late fall.
Great effort by Takaaki Nakagami to go sixth right at the end of FP3.
Espargaro has also gone down at turn 3 - all three riders are ok!
Fabio Di Giannantonio and Johann Zarco have crashed, disaster for Ducati during the closing stages.
Bezzecchi goes P3 for the Mooney VR46 Ducati squad.
A time of 1:32.164s has put Espargaro top ahead of Quartararo and Vinales.
Vinales did regain top spot but Espargaro is having none of it...
The time attacks are well underway as Espargaro goes fastest from Rins and Zarco.
