Wilson gets into gear with Arciero-Brooke.
Max Wilson drove his Arciero-Brooke Racing Lola for the first time last week, conducting a systems' check at the Putnam Park Raceway close to Indianapolis.
The 1.766mile circuit, is a frequent home to the CART teams as they prepare for forthcoming races and tests elsewhere, and would have performed admirably for Wilson had it not been for the ever-changing changing weather conditions.

"I think it was very good [that] we came to Putnam Park [in order to] check the car at the track," the Brazilian said later, "It was [just] a shame that we did not have better weather. We [would] prefer to save the engine mileage for better weather conditions in our first test session, which will be at Laguna Seca [between 14-15 February].
"Our test in California is very important, not only because of the information that we can get about the car's performance on road courses, also because we are going to race there during the season."
"The reason we do the systems' check is to sort out any mechanical issues that might occur during a race weekend," explained team president Barry Brooke, "I am very pleased how the things went today, despite having rainy and windy conditions throughout the session. The team worked very well in their first outing together and everybody at Arciero Brooke Racing is looking forward to test in Laguna Seca."
