Rockwell FirstPoint joins Sigma assault.
Sigma Autosport has revealed Rockwell FirstPoint Contact as a multi-year partner of the #22 car due to be driven by CART veteran Max Papis in 2002.
The new sponsor is a global provider of customer contact solutions that support multiple channels - such as human voice, e-mail and wireless - through a unique open interaction infrastructure. The first to develop technology to help automate customer call centres, Rockwell FirstPoint Contact has since established a 30-year reputation.

The partnership with Sigma is Rockwell's first venture into Champcar racing, and the company enters with high expectations. With nine overseas events scheduled on the 2002 FedEx Championship Series calendar, the company name will be displayed around the world, a key attraction to the company - and a sharp rebuke to those who criticised the CART series for going global.
"We are truly excited to be part of Sigma Autosport's bid for the CART FedEx Championship," said company president Terry Murphy, "Sigma has an exciting and competitive team, much like the team at Rockwell FirstPoint Contact."
"We're lapping the competition and winning business in markets around the world," explained Murphy. "We're confident that the Sigma team and Rockwell FirstPoint Contact will have a lot in common this year."
After a strong rookie year, in which Spaniard Oriol Servia ran with very little backing, Sigma is hoping to take Rockwell and the #22 car to the podium in 2002, having signed proven race winner Papis.
"We are very excited to have a company like Rockwell FirstPoint Contact join our team," said team owner Tom Wieringa, "We will do everything possible to help bring them a championship in the 2002 CART season."
