Well-tested Kite ready for Chicagoland success.

After electing to miss the last round of the IRL IndyCar Series Championship at the Infineon Raceway, Ethanol Hemelgarn Racing believe that they will reap the benefits of that decision this Sunday at the Chicagoland Speedway.

Driver Jimmy Kite and the Hemelgarn team are expecting a great result at this weekend's Peak Antifreeze Indy 300 presented by Mr. Clean after using their absence from the Infineon race to get in some serious testing at the 1.5-mile Chicagoland oval.

Team Manager Lee Kunzman is extremely optimistic about the team's chances after Kite claimed a top ten finish at the last 1.5-mile track on the IRL schedule in Kentucky.

"We've made gains all season, and our top-10 finish at Kentucky shows that we're on the right track," said Kunzman. "We had a fantastic test at Chicago and we have really used the last several weeks to focus on some areas where we know there are gains to be had. The car has never been stronger and we are looking forward to bringing home another good finish."

Kite is also upbeat and positive about the team's chances for this weekend. "With the way that our performance has been getting better and with the way that we ran on the last mile and a half oval at Kentucky, I'm really looking forward to this weekend," Kite said. "Now, we just need to improve on our finish at Kentucky."
